French original version with English subtitles, 105 minutes

Léon Blum, the Jewish socialist politician and three-time French Prime Minister, stands at the heart of a new film based on a bi- ography written by historian Dominique Missika (Je vous prom- ets de revenir). Jeanne Levylier (Elsa Zylberstein) fell in love with Blum (Hippolyte Girardot) when she was only sixteen. Years later, when the Nazis occupy France and the Vichy regime is estab- lished, she renounces leaving the country with her husband in order to link her destiny to Léon Blum.
