ROMULO FRÓES Singing TRANSA By Caetano Veloso
OCT 31 9PM
By Caetano Veloso
Live at Casa de Francisca
Filmed by Mariana Person and Gustavo Moura
In continuity with its new live streaming concert project, with no present audience yet, “Till the end, singing”, Casa de Francisca presents Romulo Froes through Marina Person and Gustavo Moura’s filmmaking perspective, cinematographic and affective curatorship by Laís Bodanzky, and project conception and artistic direction by Rubens Amatto.
Romulo Fróes is openly influenced by the album “Transa”. At first, related to samba, the singer and composer headed for rock from his third album onwards, a double album named “No Chão Sem o Chão”. Along this path, he seeked in Brazilian music a shortcut to his own language in a a guitar-bass-drums shape, and the classic album by Caetano Veloso has imposed itself as one of his main references.
