‘Bath’ is part of a series of video-collage by Jorge Bascuñan entitled ‘Monsters in a commonplace’. It consists of biographical dance that portrays fears and uncertainties faced during the quarantined time, due to the pandemic crisis of COVID-19. It aims to be a low-qua-cellphone-made format, revealing situations and monsters during social isolation. The world is experiencing uncertainty about continuity. The Performance questions what was once considered 'normal'. What awaits us after this phase? What will change? What monsters will we face? The creation of monsters is a metaphor for the unknown. Interrupted by musical moments from Johann Sebastian Bach and voices in a reading-collage based on Samuel Beckett's 'texts and stories for nothing', Jorge invites everyone to face his Monsters and to discover the poetry of a common place.
