Flash ACT Masterclass: “Data in Art”
As part of the Flash ACT events, Roberto Cabezas, Director of the Creative Technologies program at CENTRO, and Diego Trujillo, artist, designer and researcher, will give a public talk on the subject of “Data in Art”.
Flash ACT is a virtual project by the Goethe-Institut Mexico, the French Embassy in Mexico / IFAL - Institut français d'Amérique latine, Centro Cultural de España in Mexico and Centro de Cultura Digital. Also the Cluster Fund of EUNIC-European Union National Institutes for Culture supports the project.
Data, despite its immateriality, has become one of the most abundant resources. It is of great economic, social and even personal importance. In the talk by Roberto Cabezas and Diego Trujillo, the versatility of data as material will be discussed, from the origins of data in research to how data is generated, interpreted and used for artificial purposes.
The talk will take place on Friday, April 23rd at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
