Latitude digital festival, 4 - 6 June 2020
The Latitude digital festival, organised by the Goethe-Institut from 4 - 6 June 2020, presented debates and artist contributions on the question of how colonial structures have an effect on the present and how they can be overcome. The festival has been divided into four thematic complexes that negotiate continuities of colonial structures: economic inequality, handling of cultural assets, racism, identity and remembrance, and global digital equality.
In addition to discussions, performances and concerts, visitors could take part in chat debates and listening sessions, do a decolonising workout or cook with a food blogger from Lagos.
Most of the festival's contributions are available in the media library on the festival website.
