The Nest Collective, Nairobi
The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen and the Goethe-Institut present the Nest Collective (http://www.thisisthenest.com/). Two film programmes will be presented by collective members Jim Chuchu and Dr. Akati Khasiani. The online music programme is presented by Noel Kasyoka—DJ, musician and film-maker.
Tuko Macho (2016)
A dramatization of Kenya's issues with crime and justice, Tuko Macho centers on a vigilante gang who kidnap criminals in Nairobi, and ask viewers to vote on their execution or release. If you had the chance to condemn a criminal to death, would you do it?

A mini-series dedicated to the city of Nairobi and highlighting the dysfunctions that many of its citizens encounter on a day to day basis; including hustling artists, millennials, civil servants and those who need their services, family members with hidden resentments about each other’s beliefs, and members of investment societies.
